Hummingbird Collage is Deana Croog, a self-taught collage artist based in Connecticut. While her love affair with all things whimsy vintage stretches back to early childhood days, dragging her feet through antique stores and Golden Age Hollywood marathons on TCM, her discovery of collage art occurred much later in life. Combining the two has brought joy, surprise, and a return to childlike wonder - feelings she hopes to pass on to others.
Deana's work celebrates the magic and beauty of bygone eras with a modern, surrealist twist. All work is lovingly hand-cut and vintage-sourced from 1920s-1970s magazines, postcards, literature, and other ephemera.
Original work is available along with assorted prints and greeting cards. They make a perfect conversation-starting addition to your home, or gift for someone you love.
